Frequently Asked Questions

  • Therapy is right for anyone who wants support, clarity, connection, or change. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, anxious, stuck, or unsure of your next steps, counseling can help bring perspective and relief. We explore together—not from a place of judgment, but with curiosity and compassion—to find what works for your unique needs.

Therapy is especially helpful when you’re longing for balance, healing, growth, or a new way forward.

  • I specialize in trauma-informed, experiential, and attachment-focused care for adults. Some of my primary areas include:

    • Depression, grief, and anxiety

    • ADHD

    • Trauma and complex childhood wounds

    • Identity, belonging, and relational disconnection

    • Control issues, shame, and emotional dysregulation

    • Dissociation, DID, OSDD, and parts-based work

    • Women’s issues, transitions, and spiritual identity work

    • Creative, nature-based, and somatic healing for those who feel stuck or overwhelmed

  • Yes. Your privacy is protected by both state law and professional ethics. What you share in therapy stays between us, with a few legal exceptions related to safety (which we will review together in your first session). My goal is to provide a space where you feel safe, respected, and fully supported.

  • I offer both in-person sessions on Saint Simons Island and secure virtual sessions for clients residing in Georgia. You’re welcome to choose the format that fits your comfort level and season of life, and many clients enjoy a blend of both. For those who prefer to go deeper or process differently, I also offer week-long or weekend therapeutic intensives. Intensives are designed for clients who want to skip the weekly model and instead spend focused, uninterrupted time working through deeper layers of healing, identity work, trauma processing, or specific life transitions. These extended sessions allow for more spacious work, deeper integration, and a sense of reset that weekly sessions sometimes can’t provide.

  • My approach is holistic, relational, and grounded in the science of interpersonal neurobiology—the understanding that healing happens through connection, new experiences, and felt safety. I integrate EMDR, somatic awareness, creative arts, and nature-inspired practices to help your brain form new pathways toward resilience. I believe the opposite of anxiety is connection, and that your healing journey should be individualized, restorative, and filled with opportunities to strengthen your sense of self. Together, we work at a pace that feels safe and honoring to your story.

  • Yes, most major insurances are accepted for ongoing individual counseling and mental health counseling sessions. For insurance questions, contact Grace House Counseling Center directly at (904) 269-0886.

If you are without insurance, we offer sliding scale rates, scholarships for workshops, and payment plans for EMDR intensives. I am committed to making quality therapy accessible.
