Evidence-Based Counseling with a Restorative Approach

New Path Counseling was founded from a deep commitment to helping people find clarity, steadiness, and meaning during challenging seasons of life. The approach is person-centered and relational, grounded in the understanding that lasting change unfolds when the mind, body, and inner life are supported together.

This work goes beyond quick solutions. It is about restoration—reconnecting with yourself, strengthening capacity, and moving forward with greater ease and intention.

Grounded in elements of interpersonal neurobiology (IPNB), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), New Path's approach focuses on restoring connection within yourself and in your relationships. The work unfolds in a safe, supportive space designed to help you feel understood and empowered to move toward a life that feels more authentic and whole.

The New Path Counseling Methodology

Connection First

At our core, we help individuals rediscover safe and meaningful relationships with themselves, others, and creation. Healing unfolds through connection, and therapy must offer a space to be seen, understood, and restored before change happens.

Restorative Focused

We see the beauty in what can be renewed—peace, joy, and a sense of purpose. Whether you're seeking therapy for emotional healing, self-improvement, or spiritual growth, we believe your story holds the potential for transformation.

Evidence-Based

Our practice integrates proven therapeutic approaches, including:

  • EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) for trauma

  • Somatic experiencing therapy and body-based therapy for nervous system regulation

  • Interpersonal neurobiology and mind-body therapy

  • Nature therapy and outdoor therapy

  • Psychoeducation in therapy for understanding your patterns

  • Faith-based therapy and spiritual counseling

These evidence-based modalities work together to help your brain form new pathways toward resilience and hope.

If you’ve spent years trying to manage things on your own ..

working harder, searching for answers, yet still feeling overwhelmed or disconnected—you’re not failing. Together, we focus on restoring a sense of self, building resilience, and recognizing the strengths already within you.

When negative thoughts begin to take hold, therapy offers a steady, supportive space to gently loosen their grip and reconnect with the truth of who you really are.
